There are four mini-games: Blackjack, Dominoes, Five Finger Fillet, and Poker. You only need to start playing all of them for a moment to get the “Hobby Horse” trophy. You do not need to win, or even finish the match. After sitting down for a game, you can simply stand up again and leave. You can keep track of this at the pause menu under “Progress” – “Total Completion” – “Table Games”. The mini-games can be found at the following locations:
Last time we touched on how the Last Stand 2 works as a game. Here then, I will give my personal way of going through the game. It’s one of the ways in which a player can beat the game, but I find that this way gives me the most chances to survive. As usual, Armorgame’s version of the game is the choice of usage for this particular post. So here goes.
When you first start the game, you’re immediately thrown into Glendale. This is the easiest part of the game, and you will find it very hard to fail. It has the most durable barricade of the game, and the entry way for the zombies is tight. This makes it extra nice because you can aim your gun at the entrance, and just unload your gun. Soul silver game corner cheat. The only difficult thing you will come across here will be runners and the dogs. They’re fast, and sometimes they’re annoying to hit as they clump up. Watch out for them.
All travel hubs starts off with journal entries like this. Reading them will offer tips about the area.
For the first night, I recommend going through the Sheriff’s Office, and the building labeled with a gun underneath, along with the Super Market. This should take up 11 hours of your time, leaving you with 1 hour to spend – put this towards repairing your barricade. After the first night, your barricade should stay above 55 points. Now, if you get a survivor along with a .357 revolver, put the revolver on the survivor. If you find a chainsaw, equip it as your secondary, this will help you.
When you’re done with the second night, your search pattern should be the four houses immediately to the left of the gun labeled houses.
Night 1 had already been completed, notice the three searched buildings are crossed out.
This maximizes your chances of finding survivors, supplies, and traps. Now, the problem here is, if you take all 12 hours up, you can’t repair anything. Make sure your barricade is standing up with at least 35 points. Depending on runners and how well your survivors do that night, you might have less than 20 points by the end of the second night. If this happens, spend 3-4 points on repairing. If you think you can spare the full 12 points for searching on Night 3, go with the two houses on the upper left, as well as the park storage. That should chew up all 12 hours. If you spent 3 hours repairing, just search the two upper left houses.
From day 4 forward, searching and repairing is up to you. However, the ending screen should be like this:
It should be on day 6 that everything is searched out. You can move on from here now.
What you want is 5 days of supplies, 2 survivors, the .357 revolver, chainsaw, 4 propane tanks/bear trap, and all buildings searched. When you go to travel, it should say “35 days left”. Since you have 5 days of supplies, click the Travel to new location button. Claysburg is next.
Claysburg begins to get a little interesting. If you read the journal entry, the character notes that there are zombies with melee weapons. This is bad news. Zombies that reach your barricade with melee weapons have a chance to kill any survivors that are manning that particular area. In very simple terms? Shoot the zombies with weapons first. They are the priorities.
Night 1 in Claysburg should be your easiest. Take the four buildings in the center two with “$”, pistol drawn on, and the office. They should all take 3 hours to search taking up the full 12 hours. Hopefully, you should have found either some traps, some weapons, supplies, or survivors. If you found either the Uzi or the UMP, you want to take that weapon for yourself. Survivors are woefully unreliable with weapons. If you’ve managed to find a survivor instead of weapons that’s fine too, use some traps or try to survive through the first night. Your barricade is full, so you shouldn’t have a problem.
You may have come across a few things by the end of the first night. One of them mainly may have been the military guys.
Take out the military zombies by shooting at the legs. There’s no other way. Also, notice the dead survivor in the top part of the barricade.
There are also SWAT team zombies running around, and these are much easier. Both the SWAT and military personnel come with bulletproof vests, so don’t bother aiming for the chest. The thing that makes the military guys really annoying? Their helmets. This means you have less space to put a bullet through on the zombie’s head, and you’re going to be left dead if they’re not taken down. The only way to safely do this is to aim for the legs. SWAT guys can still be taken down with a headshot, but military guys are harder to hit. So go for the legs.
At the end of your trip in Claysburg, your loadout screen should look like this.
Three survivors (2 from Glendale) at least, Uzi, UMP, some more traps (if you haven’t spent any, otherwise replenish), and finally 5 days worth of supply. You should have anywhere from 26 days to 28 days left in traveling depending on how lucky you are. Getting the weapons is crucial to your survival. Leave the Uzi to one of the survivors, and use the UMP. Once you’ve arranged yourself accordingly, move onto Aspenwood days.
Tip! Every time you travel from hub to hub, you exhaust several days from traveling. Keep a note of that!
If you look at the traveling map, you’ll notice that there’s a line at the bottom saying, “More population = more of everything”. Aspenwood has a rather low population, and while one would think that this would mean that there are less zombies here, it just doesn’t seem to work in the reverse. In fact, there may just be even more zombies. Thank God you have those two new automatic weapons right?
Aspenwood is very small, and have very few houses to search through. I suggest taking the three middle left houses for 4 hours each so you can maximize your search time on the first night. Our goal here is to get our last survivor and supplies. These two are essential. Any weapons that you come across (the sawn-off shotgun and hunting rifles) are nice, but they’re not going to kill you if you miss them. Your goal here is to get as much supply as you can, and immediately head off. The zombies with weapons here are in abundance, and your barricade isn’t exactly sturdy.
(Side note: Aspenwood gets very hard to defend. Laying down some traps here and making sure you target down the zombies with weapons is essential. AI allies won’t shoot the weapon zombies first, so you will be the one to do that for them. If a survivor dies, it means you’re taking on more zombies.)
Flimsy barricade, and hordes of zombies. Great.
Last stop, Jonestown.
Hopefully you have 4 survivors equipped with: Uzi, .357 revolver, the original pistol and the sawn-off shotgun. If you missed the shotgun, don’t worry, just keep it steady. The hunting rifle isn’t very useful I find especially for this last stretch of the game, but if you feel like you can risk it, go ahead and give it to one of them.
The objective for Jonestown is simple: survive, find supplies, and get out of it.The longer you wait around in Jonestown, the more chances your survivors will die, and then you die. The only upside to this place is that it contains two strong weapons: AK47, and the M4A1. These two assault weapons will bring some punch to the arsenal you already have.
To start with, I recommend going to the Security company in the top left area marked with a gun. After that, find other buildings with 3 hour requirements. If you want to brave it, try going for houses that require 4 hours. You can only get four searches max, but it might bring you at least some traps you can use. Speaking of traps, if you’ve been banking them, now it’s the time to use them.
Jonestown is merciless. It will throw running zombies, backed up by dogs, backed up by more running zombies, and finally, running zombies with weapons, at you. Military guys will almost always spawn with weapons, and everything will go against you. Use your traps wisely, and don’t forget to reload your weapon.
The only realistic way to get through Jones town is to make sure you’re constantly vigilant against melee zombies, running zombies, and dogs. Zombie dogs will take down your barricade in moments if left unattended to.
Once you have 6 supplies, get out of Jonestown without a second thought. That place will be the end of you. Head towards Union City and you’re done.
Finally, we get to Union City…
That’s it for my walk-through of this game. I’ll do a bonus Fort Tran post sometime on the weekend, and some more in-depth look into the game next week. Hope this was fun, and keep it casual.
