Conventional cheat
Pressing C + A + T will give the player 99 grenades, 90 (?!) bullets and one clip. This only works in the registered version (the cheat is still present in the shareware version, but pressing the key combination calls a 'do nothing' routine.)
Special moves
Apparently not a cheat (just a 'secret') but certain key combinations will result in a 'special move.'

Debugging codes
Unlike Commander Keen (which uses the same game engine), Bio Menace contains a multi-level 'unlocking' mechanism to enable the debugging cheat codes. During the game, follow this procedure:
- Press C + O + D, and a prompt will appear asking you to enter in a code
- Type in 91827 and press enter. This activates the key combination required to enable the debugging keys.
- Enable the debugging keys by pressing J + I + M + Space. This is no doubt a reference to Jim Norwood, who created the game almost single handedly (minus the engine and a few other things.)
- The F10 cheats in the table below can now be used.
Note that the C + O + D keys can only be used in the freeware version. It's possible to hex edit the other versions to allow the activation of the debug keys, which means pressing J + I + M + Space will display the 'Debugging keys active' message, but like the C + A + T cheat, pressing F10 calls another 'do nothing' routine, so none of the actual cheats (like F10 + G) work. It is a curiosity that the version released as freeware supports these cheat codes, whereas the officially released versions never supported any of the F10 cheat codes.

Cheat Engine is a serious software tool for developers, modders and gamers that lets you modify a game while it’s running in a number of different ways. This is an open-source project, so you don’t just get access to the program but the entire source code, which means that you can see how it ticks or even add or customize functionality to your liking. The program supports games that use Direct3D and OpenGL, and it works with both 32-bit and 64-bit executables.
Cheat Engine is not a simple tool to use. This is designed for advanced users, and it has a steep learning curve. The good news is that it does include a series of superb tutorials, and if you’re willing to put the time in, these lessons will help you master the program. In one lesson, you’ll learn to increase the money you have available in Rockstar’s beloved Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and in another, you’ll learn how to use Cheat Engine to install mods for Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Cheat Engine works in a number of different ways and can manipulate both files and memory. The memory scanner scans the game’s memory exhaustively as it’s running and helps you achieve what a game trainer does. It finds a value, such as the money in San Andreas, and lets you alter how much money you have simply by changing that value in memory. Cheat Engine also performs file scans and supports AMT, CET, CT, GH, XML and more. With access to these files, you can change static parameters as well as get the program to load items it wouldn’t otherwise.
Cheat Engine also supports a wide range of configuration modes, and you can customize these modes in order to have Cheat Engine work in a particular way for a particular game. This program isn’t just for manipulating games other people have developed. Developers can also use it to debug and analyze their own games as well as other types of programs. Note that this application will not work with online games. The means games with a multiplayer or cooperative component, but in some cases, it even means games that “phone home” as part of their initialization process.
